KEDAI KOPI by UMNO

So just want to cut to the chase that there is going to be a Kedai Kopi sponsored by Kelab UMNO Luar negara (KULN) RIT.

Some of you may not know what Kedai Kopi is all about so I'm going to briefly explained. It is actually a discussion within the students to attained more knowledge and sharing them in order to build a better Malay. It can also be a channel for students to voice out their opinion and discuss regarding any matter. Moderator act as the person leading the discussion and try to discuss and resolve any rising issue from you students yourselves.

So the details as follow

Time: 700 pm - 815pm
Place: Building 8 Room A300

So how was the game? Did you enjoy them. I hope everybody is satisfied with it. I know some of you already tired after playing 2 3 games, but that's good for your body right? I could see smiley faces on that day and we E board are really happy with it. So keep it up guys!

Dodgeball!!

YES! We are going to have a dodgeball competition this week. So the game will be based on 'rumah sukan', separating between boys and girls games. So you don't have to worry about being hit by fast ball etc.

It will take place on Saturday, December 4th. And any detail will be announce later. So keep updating with this blog ok?

General Meeting

So the snow has fallen yesterday and we hope all of you stay warm and healthy. And don't fall off on slippery floor or anything that can injure yourself because of the snow/weather etc.

So, we are going to have our first general meeting for winter quarter on Friday, December 3rd at 6pm sharp. The place will be at Building 8 and unknown room number yet.

We want to say thank you very much who came to the feast at Park Point. That was awesome guys! Many people came and they brought foods too! On behalf of MySA E board members, we want to say thank you and we really appreciate for those who helped us out!

And we want to say HAPPY HOLIDAY to everyone too! Even though it just one week of rest, we hope that all of you get some rest enjoy your day before the WINTER quarter starts. From General Meeting that we had recently, we all have decided to do the Pontianak Harum Sundal Malam for the GU Unification Night. And thanks for those who gives idea and comment. =)
So, I just want to briefly to tell you guys about it.

Basically our theme for this year gonna be mystic/scary/ghost something like that. Here is the basic storyline. Improvement will be added so don't worry. Suggestion from you guys is still needed;

In 1920's, there is a famous dancer, Meriam performing Tarian Inai in front of the King. Then the king gave her a beautiful crown, entitled her as a renowned dancer at that time. However, a guy called Marsani was angry with her since she rejected his offer to become her husband. So he fought with the Meriam's husband and eventually the couple died. Marsani took the crown. After that, the pontianak (Meriam) came out and haunted Marsani's life after that. Because of it, he slipped over a cliff and died.

That is the basic storyline. Some changes may apply in future.

We the MySA e-board members wanna say THANK YOU VERY MUCH for those who came and help us during the Bacaan Yassin and The Dinner Night. We really appreciate your help (indeed we needed them)

The Bacaan Yassin went well. Let's hope whatever we asked from Allah SWT will be granted. InsyaAllah.

Same goes with the dinner. Most of you came and helped us out. Even though the food was not really a big fest for us, but most of non-Malaysian really like our Meehon Soup and Malaysian Brownies. =) And they also enjoyed watching all the presentation especially the Malaysian Sign Language. Very Interesting =)

We hope that you guys can give more support for the next event OK?

Majlis Bacaan Yasin..

Salam and Hi all! =)

It's week 9 already and I know some of you are having tough time right now. Some with exams, presentations, assignments etc. We just wanna say. DON'T GIVE UP.

By the way, MySA will be having 'Majlis Bacaan Yassin' this Friday and the details are as follows:

Date: November 5th, 2010
Time: 430pm - Isya' time
Venue: 08-2235 (It's at 2nd floor of Science College)

Basically we are going to have a short General Meeting first and we then continue with dinner, solat, recitation and usrah. Bring your own Yassin and Sejadah. And don't forget to bring your unused clothes for charity purpose =)

So again this Friday, 430 pm at COS. We really appreciate that you guys could come at 430 pm.

Pulse Hour

DISA Presents Malaysian Dinner Night

Salam and Hi all!

So this is the first update of our event.

The Deaf International Students Association (DISA) will collaborate with our club MySA to do an event called 'DISA presents Malaysian Dinner Night'. So, basically this event will introduce our Malaysian culture and foods to RIT community especially the NTID students so they would learn more about Malaysia itself. It will consist of giving authentic Malaysian foods, fashion shows, Malaysia sign language and etc.

The event will take place at Fireside lounge near SAU next Saturday, November 6th 2010.

So, we want you guys to promote this event to all other members and your friends so they would buy the tickets and go to the dinner. It's gonna be awesome! =) The price of the ticket is USD 3 and be aware that seats are LIMITED!!
